Your existence was so well planned, in the stars, in your lineage, beyond space and time. Your physical body is formed with support from your spiritual body, your Soul, your Ori.
I am of the belief that everything begins in the Spirit, and cycles repeat themselves until someone becomes interested in the root cause and interrupts the pattern.
Any dis-ease, discomfort, or blockage in your body, your family, or on your path can be uncovered, eradicated, and prevented with deep listening and the implementation of other healing modalities.
Preventative modalities are more reliable than a cure.
The medicine, return to Self, return to Soul.
My Approach
initiation
Initiation is a beginning, a start of something new. I create and hold space for life’s many initiations. From childbirth to shadow work, new beginnings to spiritual initiations.
integration
We uproot and integrate in the mundane by being in our bodies, in nature, through coursework, materials, travel, practice, coaching, and rest. We explore other healing modalities to complement our journey.
EMBODIMENT
We remember on a soul level that we are perfect, whole, and complete. Our healing is interconnected. We are postured to bring forth new souls, retell old stories, and consciously walk each other home.
Shyah was born into a lineage of priests and seers. She is a writer, spiritual guide, doula, and multidisciplinary storyteller devoted to the sacred work of return.
When my paternal grandmother made her transition, she visited me in a dream, and she handed me the codes. It took over a decade to decode. I did not realize then that her death, for me, was initiation day.
I have always been in conversation with what cannot be seen. Long before I had language for it, I could feel Spirit moving. I was ten years old when I begged my parents to go to church; that’s where I had one of my earliest encounters with the Holy Spirit. I squeezed my way through the pews to go up for the altar call to be saved. My great-grandmother was a Bishop and a faith healer at a Holiness church she founded in Selma, NC. I know now that her prayers guided me to the cross. It was a return, but much more layered and complex than I could ever have known then.
My coming into being was poetic. I did everything I said I would do. I worked in the industries I dreamt of, I attended the University I said I would, and pledged the sorority I knew I would. I got the exact roles I wanted; in the material, I was flourishing. And in the midst of all my glory, I did not feel well for months. I found a functional medicine physician who assisted me. I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, another initiation. This one took me deeper; it removed illusions. My ability to remain in this physical body was dependent on my returning to Soul.
So here I am: I healed myself from the inside out, left no stone unturned, tried other healing modalities, and the modalities that changed me forever, I trained in them, and I worked with the best teachers until I mastered them and became certified to share them, to teach them. The in-between, the rest of the story is in my walk, throughout the pages of my book, The Lineage of Love, in my eyes, behind my words, infused in the offerings and the fabric of Welcome Ohm.
My life has not unfolded in a straight line. It has come in waves. In endings. In initiations. In moments that asked me to shed what no longer fit and return, again and again, to the quiet truth of who I am. Through grief, through becoming, through the fire of transformation, through joy, I learned that healing is rarely about fixing what is broken. More often, it is about remembering what was never lost. And that's what my Grandmother was showing me in that visitation dream during her transition. Death had not become her; she was simply changing forms.
My Ohm story is rooted in return and remembering. This remembering grew, Welcome Ohm, it is the embodiment that sprouted after integration.
